Lillie Miller Obituary

Lillie Miller, a long time resident of Kings County, was born in Sledge, Miss., on Aug. 24, 1925. She died Oct. 24, 2010 in Hanford while a resident of Kings Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 85, a former resident of Home Garden, and a member of the Lemoore Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She died at peace with many members of her extended family gathered around her bed.

Mrs. Miller is survived in this area by six of her 13 children including sons Jimmy D. Bridgman of Hanford, and Verlie S. Bridgman of Fresno, and daughters, E. Charlene Apodaca of Visalia, Linda F. Marvin of Lemoore, Lula Mae Zachau of Santa Cruz, and Deborah A. Parten of Wasco.

She is also survived by sons, James and David Crawford, and Allan Scott, all of Arkansas, and Danny R. Totten of Oklahoma, and daughter, Tammy K. Totten, of Oregon. Children preceding Mrs. Miller in death were Doris Jean Holder and Dennis Linn Carr.

Also surviving are sisters Lentha Mae Cline and Christine Lehnherr, both of Oregon.

Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A service will be held in the Lemoore Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1035 E. Hanford-Armona Road, at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 29. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the church. The reception, sponsored by the women of the church, will follow. A graveside service is planned at the Grangeville Cemetery in Armona.

Pallbearers are Mrs. Miller's grandsons, Jeremy Bridgman, William Hooper, Adam Parten, Gene Parten, Joe Parten, and David Record.
