Lola Cruz Marroquin, 85, of Hanford, California entered into rest on Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Hanford, California. She worked at Candlewick Yarns as a Twister for six years.
Lola was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 22, 1924 to Miguel and Maria Cruz. She married Guadalupe Marroquin in 1951 in Lubock, Texas. They moved to Hanford, California in 1966 to make their home. Lola was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness of Hanford. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and crocheting. Lola also enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables and flowers. She especially loved her roses. Family was very important to Lola and she enjoyed times spent together. Lola cared for and helped raise her grandchildren which brought her much joy. Her family remembers how hard she worked to care for them. She was a loving and kind person who gave of herself for others. Lola will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Lola leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Hector Marroquin, Carlos Marroquin and wife, Cathy and Irma Rodriguez and husband, James, all of Hanford and Elba Bugarin and husband, Alex of Fowler, CA; one sister, Eva Garcia of Lubock, TX; one step sister, Mary Helen Dominguez of Leveland, TX; ten very special grandchildren, Marcie, Jesse, C.J., Amy, Lisa, James, Jeni, Jon, Marcus and Matthew; six great grandchildren, Taylor, Haley, Victoria, Darren, Jesse and Rylie. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Angela Marroquin, Diana Rapozo and Janell Burdine for their loving support.
