Malinda Robinson

Malinda Robinson, a woman of "loving-kindness," passed away December 17, 2010, at age 93. She was the beloved wife of Charles (Chuck) Robinson for 64 years; he preceded her in death in 2003. They had lived in Southern California, Bishop, and Colusa where she was a homemaker, in addition to serving as a volunteer at her church and the hospital. Malinda enjoyed playing bridge and learned to golf in her 70's; her knitting, needlepoint, and embroidery were exquisite!

She is survived by a sister, Lydia Schroeder (Orange); sister-in-law, Frances Underwood (Perris); and three sons and their wives: Jeff and Merrie (Fallon); Steve and Marsha (Hanford); and Bruce and Susie (Quincy). Malinda is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kristin (Tim) Hollabaugh, Kyle and Luke; Matt (Kate) Robinson, Damian and Lukas; Katie Robinson; Jessica Robinson; Jon (Dana) Robinson; and Natalie Robinson. In addition, her numerous nieces and nephews loved their Aunt Malinda.

In 2004, she moved to Visalia for assisted living/dementia; during the past 14 months, she was a resident of Hacienda Health Care in Hanford - through all of which she never lost her great sense of humor. The family wants to thank the caregivers for their compassion and patience each day.

The youngest of six children, Malinda was preceded in death by brothers Louie, Hank, Mickey, and Ted Walker.

Graveside services will be held at the Colusa Cemetery on Tuesday, December 28, at 11:00 a.m. where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grimes Community Church (P.O. Box 35, Grimes, CA 95950).

Arrangements are under the direction of People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford.
