Maxine Dillard Obituary

Maxine Deloras Dillard, better known as "Max," age 63 of Hanford, California passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2010 in Hanford, California surrounded by her loving family.

Maxine was born in Fresno, California and graduated from Watsonville High School in Watsonville, CA. She married Edward Lee Dillard in Santa Cruz, California in 1964. The family moved to Hanford, California in 1970. She worked as a Medical Assistant for many years and decided that she would pursue nursing, receiving her degree from San Joaquin Valley College. Maxine worked for many years with Dr. Sorensen, Randy Pence, Dr. Princeton and lastly with Dr. Lusby, retiring in 1999 following the death of her husband, Edward in 1998. All of her patients were very dear to her. Maxine's children remember her as the most amazing mom - she was always busy working very hard to provide for her family and all the while, she had home cooked meals for her family, their clothing was always clean and ready, her home was always in order and she could be seen at all of her children's activities. Maxine made sure that they never wanted for anything. She adored all of her grandchildren as they did her and shared many fun times together. Maxine will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Maxine is survived by her three children, Eddie Dillard of Redding, CA, Glenn Dillard and wife, Rachael of Hanford, CA. and her daughter and best friend , Tina Brewer of Hanford, CA; four brothers, Leonard Hyde of Hanford, CA, Darrell Hyde of Stratford, CA, Glenn Hyde of Fallon, NV and Mike Frausto of Washington; one sister, Marie McCullar of Sparks, NV; nine grandchildren, Joshua Dillard, Jennifer Dillard, Jeffrey Donald Brewer Jr., Jared Thomas Manuel Dillard, Jayce Alexandria Brewer, Jaxson Logan Mayo, her newest grandchildren, Taylor Lauryn Ray, Dylan Michael Drewry and Jared Ray; two nieces Samone Nunes and Melissa Hughart who became her daughters when Maxine's baby sister, Martha passed away in 1992, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Maxine was preceded in death by her baby sister, Martha Ann Hughart, her brother, Raymond Lee Hyde and her parents, Manuel Fausto and Clara B Hyde.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Church of Hanford on 10th Avenue.

I worked with Maxine many years ago in the coroner's office. She was such a lovely person and so much fun to work with. Even though we did not keep in touch once I moved away I though of her often. My condolences to her family. Yolanda Guerrero, Pacifica, CA

My heart goes out to the family in her loss. Understanding how devistating the loss of a mother is my heart especially goes out to her children. She was a lovely lady with a huge heart. Many people will miss her!
