Thomas S. "Tommy" Graczewski

Thomas S. "Tommy" Graczewski, 84, of Broad Brook Rd., in the Scitico section of Enfield, beloved husband of Sophie (Lucas) Graczewski, of 62 years, entered into eternal peace, Wednesday, (March 12, 2003) at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born in the Scitico Section of Enfield, was a lifetime resident of the community, and was a communicant of St. Bernard Church. He was an Army Veteran serving during World War II. Tommy enjoyed his work while employed at Pratt & Whitney Div. of UTC for 45 years, and later at NAPA for 15 years. Tommy also owned and operated his own tobacco farm. Besides his beloved wife, Sophie; he is survived by two sons, Thomas J. Graczewski and his wife, Arleen of Enfield, Richard W. Graczewski and his wife, Cynthia of Stafford; two brothers, Steven Graczewski of Enfield, Edward Graczewski of Southwick, MA; three sisters, Jennie Siemionko, Sophie Pabis, and Stacia Lagel, all of Enfield; two grandchildren, Laura Edwards and her husband, Keith of Ellington, and Timothy Graczewski and his wife, Cheryl of California; two great grandchildren, Brett and Catlyn Edwards; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved companion "Leo". He was predeceased by a brother, Dominick Graczewski. The funeral will be held Friday, at 9:45 a.m. from the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield, followed by a procession to St. Bernard Church for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Committal will follow, with Military Honors, at St. Bernard's Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, TODAY, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations in Tommmy's memory may be made to St. Bernard Church, 426 Hazard Ave., Enfield, CT 06082 and the Enfield Community Ambulance Fund, Box 1249, Enfield, CT 06082.
