Gerard TALBOT

TALBOT, Gerard Gerard "Gerry" Talbot, 84, of Rocky Hill, husband of the late Mikolina "Mickey" (Reptune) Talbot, passed away Tuesday, (February 15, 2011) at Hartford Hospital. Born and raised in Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Joseph and Irene Talbot, he moved to Bloomfield, CT, after serving in the United States Navy during World War II. Gerry retired from the Town of Bloomfield after 27 years of service. He volunteered for 15 years on the Blue Hills Vol. Fire Department and Bloomfield Vol. Ambulance Association. Affectionately known as "Poppy" by his family and close family friends; he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Michael Sarno of Rocky Hill; two granddaughters Diane Cyphert and husband Craig of Sarver, PA, Marie Rinaldi and husband Michael of Watertown, CT and four great-grandsons Dean and Nicholas Cyphert and Joshua and Devin Rinaldi. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Sylvio Talbot. A special thank you to Dr. Pariser and to the staff at Hebrew Home and Hospital where Gerry resided for the last seven months. Funeral services will be, Saturday, 11 a.m. at the Giuliano-Sagarino Funeral Home at BROOKLAWN, 511 Brook Street, Rocky Hill. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
