Judy, I met you for the first time thru my sister, Jeanne. At 8,you were two skinny, giggling kids who'd just become "best" friends which meant you spent hours playing with Barbies, arguing about Star Trek and polishing your dreams. Even as adults, you stayed close with one another.

We met again when you and your Mom came to offer your condolences at Jeanne's funeral. You had asked if I'd like to go for coffee sometime and when we finally got together we ended up sitting on the steps of Windsor's Railroad Station and talking for hours. As the sun set and the air turned cool, I remember feeling as if I'd known you all my life.

At a time when I thought I could never care about anything or anyone again, you became an important part of my life. And my heart.

Sadly, I never got to say goodbye, but I will tell you this - my life is richer and I feel so blessed - to have known you as I did. You were a beautiful, kind, caring woman who became my friend when I needed one most.

I shall miss you very much. And I believe just as your smile never failed to light up a room, your beautiful Spirit now will light up the heavens.

The first time I met Judy we sat on the porch at the old house and she read me her poetry. We shall always remember that free spirit and the feisty, strong woman she became. She's with all of you, and all of us, in our hearts. We are so sorry we come up from Texas to be with you, but we love you all. Courage! Judy had it, and you do too.

Betty, Danny, Sam, Meghan and Ralph:
Don and I have so many fond memories of Judy...like the good old days on the ambulance, and even the turbulent days...Judy was a spitfire and definitely expressed her opinion and stood by her convictions. Her greatest joy and what she considered her biggest accomplishment was Danny, Sam and Meghan and that is something you can all carry in your heart. Judy's sense of family was admirable and she will be missed by all whose life she touched.

I am repeating a story here that I emailed the other day. I was just now thinking that Judy has always been a natural for the security business. Here is the story:

I have been remembering all the fun we had as kids. In those days before everyone was afraid of their children being stolen, our moms let us wander the park unsupervised. But not to worry, Judy was in charge. She quickly came up with a buddy system and made the six of us practice. I think Karen was my buddy. She paired an older kid with a younger kid and we'd run away from trouble in teams. She always had a plan.

I will surely miss you cousin Judy.

Dear Ralph & Judy's family

I'm so sorry for your loss. I met Judy when she started here as a Security Guard. She was full of energy and always smiling. She was so proud and excited about being a part of the EBI team. My prayers are with all of you.
