BRADY, Nola
With sadness the family of Nola (Eleanor Margaret) Brady announces her passing on March 1, 2013. She was born Sept. 11, 1928 in Waterbury, to Joseph and Alice (Hanley) Berry. Nola was predeceased by her husband, Harry Brady in 1990. Nola was sister to Fran Dwyer and Anne Lavey of East Hartford, Mom to Joan (Ron) Wikholm, Paul (Linda) Brady and John (Arline) Brady, and special Grandma to Margaret, Daniel, Annie, David, Matthew, Kevin and Michael. Nola was a voracious reader, an especially talented needle worker, a wonderful friend, a Netflix and Amazon aficionado, a generous soul and a stubborn Irishwoman. She led a remarkable life.
To honor Nola's indomitable spirit, her family invites friends and family to join them for an Open House at her Windsor home on Saturday, March 23, from 2-6 p.m. Nola has requested no flowers and that any donations in her name be made to the March of Dimes, 867 Main St., Manchester, CT 06040 or by visiting www.marchofdimes.com/giving. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home has care of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit, www.carmonfuneralhome.com.

Dear Joan, Paul, John, Fran, Ann,
We will always remember Nola & Harry - our remarkable meeting on July 12 1954 those early days (as young married couples) their moving to Windsor and sharing the years when our families were growing up. The kids even learned to swim together! Nola was an inspiration to us -- she was optimistic, conquered obstacles, and knew “how to be a Mom!” Wish we could be there with you all on the 23th -- We can never forget how much she added to our lives. May she rest in peace. Jack and Natalie Fortin

Nolas obituary notice is just like her...short and to the point. Nola was the kind of person who had time for others and never wanted any attention herself. What started out for Dad and Harry as just coworkers at SNET expanded out to include all the Bannons and Bradys. And so many wonderful memories. I will especially cherish the visits that Sue and I had with Nola over the last couple of years. As always, all she wanted to do was talk about all the updates with the Bannons and Sullivans. She was a remarkable person. I was so lucky to have been a part of this growing up. Joan, Paul, and John...I am truly sorry for your loss.
