Clarence E. Hultman

HULTMAN, Clarence E. Clarence E. Hultman, 85, of Bristol, died Wednesday, (July 30, 2008) at Bristol Hospital. Mr. Hultman was born November 15, 1922, in Manchester and was a son of the late Charles and Bettie (Halberg) Hultman. A life-long resident of Bristol, he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II having flown five missions with the Flying Fortress B-17 bomber in the European Theater including the last mission of World War II over Pilsen, Czechoslovakia. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was a member of Jacklin Rod and Gun Club and a founding member of the Bristol Fish and Game Club. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and an avid supporter of Immanuel Lutheran School. Mr. Hultman is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law: Jeffrey and Lori Hultman of Florida, Paul and Sandra Hultman of Torrington, Mark M. Hultman of Windsor and Michael and Sandy Hultman of Bristol; three daughters and a son-in-law: Roberta and Jeffery Fernald of East Northport, NY, Carla B. Hultman of Pennsylvania, and Ramona Appicelli of Bristol; a special friend: Joyce Raspanti of Bristol; ten grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nine siblings. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3, 4 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow Street, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Sunday, from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial with Military Honors will be in West Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
