Eleanor Pfister Obituary

PFISTER, Eleanor (Marino)

Eleanor (Marino) Pfister, 79, of Richard St., Newington, passed away on Tuesday, (January 13, 2004) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Berlin, she moved to Newington in 1947. Eleanor was the wife of Frank Pfister and the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Garlone) Marino, she was a member of the Holy Spirit Church where she was employed for over 23 years as the housekeeper. She also was a member of the Holy Spirit Ladies Guild and the Berlin Bowling League. Eleanor loved her flower garden and was co-owner of Pfister Farms in Newington for over 50 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters and son in-law, Linda and Richard Kleinschmidt of Newington and Joyce Pfister of Newington; a brother, Louis Marino of Kensington; a sister, Elsie Morrell of Newington; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Tammy. Friends and family are invited to call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on TODAY from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday 9 a.m. at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, Newington. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill. Donations can be made to the Holy Spirit Church, 183 Church St., Newington, CT 06111.
