Sitting here surfing the web I came across this memorial.
Now i'm thinking this is not the Ronald Scovill I knew and grew up right next door to on St. James Ave. Then I read on and my heart began to sink. I'm shocked and saddened.
We were best friends for a long time and that should never have changed.
To Ron & Linda (Mr and Mrs Scovill)as i used to call you, My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I have 3 Children of my own and 3 grand children. I can not imagine what or how you feel.
But rest assure Ron will not be forgotten. It looks to me that a whole lot of people Loved him

I just heard of the passing of Ronnie - and I am very sorry for your loss. I dated Ron in High School and worked with him for years at Child World. I will never forget what a kind and gentle person he was. The wonderful memories I have of Ron will not be forgotten. I had the honor of recently seeing Ron and recall how fondly he spoke of his son, and how proud he was of him. I am sure he has a special place in so many hearts of his friends and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My deepest sympathy for your loss. I worked with Ron at The Hartford years ago and can only describe him as the definition of a 'gentleman'. Always considerate of others, strong but kind and what any man would hope his son to grow to be. I know that Ron's legacy is firmly planted in his own son. I am grateful for knowing him and am saddened that the world is now without him.

I want to give my sincerest condolences for your loss. Ron was one of my closest friends growing up. We fell out of contact but recently reconnected. I am blessed to have known Ron. I will miss him.

To the Scovill family I am shocked to hear of Ronnies death. I knew him from the 190 from the 80's and he was such a fun person to talk with. I can remember us going to Denny's and talking all night. It is such a difficult time to loose such a wonderful guy

To the Scovill Family,
First my deepest sympathy for your loss...words often seem so inadequate compared to the sorrow all are feeling. I'd like to share my memories of Ron...we worked together in the 80's at Bell Atlantic (now Verizon). Time spent with a great group of work friends both inside and out at company gatherings, softball games, Karaoke and numerous years of picnics/parties. Of the bunch, Ron was one that had the biggest heart, sweet & caring. I know all who knew him would say, like me, that he would help anyone, anytime, no matter what....just an overall NICE guy.

I wasn't in touch with dad during his time with you to hear of all that he was so proud of in you. I bet you're quite a young man because your dad was such a good man, a very fine example of what a man should be. I pray that you all are comforted by his loving memories. Take Care.

I was heartbroken when I heard of Ron's passing.I still can not believe it. He was such a great person. He will be missed dearly. I feel fortunate to have met up with him this past year and shared fond memories of our high school years. My deepest sympathy to the Scovill family and especially to James, the joy of his life.

To the family and friends of Ron, may God bring you the comfort and strength you need to get through this difficult time. To his parents....Linda, you probably don't remember me but I remember you on St. James Avenue....Ava Saccocio Hill is my best friend. I used to visit her with my two daughters, Kelley and Cara. She called me to tell me of Ron's death and she couldn't even focus. Her heart was broken for you and your family, especially Ron's son, James. Of course you know with Ava losing her precious daughter, Michelle, that only she can know truely how you feel. To lose a child must be horrendous. I am so sorry for your loss. To Ron's son James, it appears that you were his 'shining star'. How lucky to have been loved so much. That love will never end you know....if you look up to the sky and pray, I know you will always 'feel' your father by your side, and he will be the 'shining star' up above, looking down upon you always. May you look to God to carry you through this sad time. Remember, the memory of those we love NEVER fades. They are always in our hearts, locked to never be let go. May Ron rest in God's eternal peace.

I was saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. I worked with him a MetLife for only a year before I left, and always hoped I would run into him again in town to catch up. We both shared a birthday of April 25th and countless stories about our kids. He had a heart of gold and I will miss him.

To the Scovill family my heart goes out to all of you. Ron was like a brother to me and was one of my best friends. We met at The Hartford years ago and have been best of friends since. Ron was one of the best fathers I've known and would do anything for his son. My son Peyton idolized James and loved hanging out with both of them. If there is anything I could do please let me know. I was saddened and shocked to hear of Ron's passing. I have many, many fond memories of the fun he and I had at your house and at mine when we were kids. In particular, I remember watching the Super Bowl between the Cowboys and the Denver Broncos in 1978 and how excited Ron was when the Cowboys won that game. I am so saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Ron. I worked with Ron at The Hartford and remained in touch with him after he left. I will always remember his sense of humor, friendly nature, and our battles over Jeff Gordon vs. Dale Jr.!
