My husband & I went to South Catholic High School and were in Fr. Murphy's Marriage class there. In June of 1972, he married us at St. Augustine's Church in Hartford--and we are still going strong! We were blessed to know him, and know that he will be sorely missed. Our sincerest condolences to all his family, and everyone fortunate enough to have been touched by his gentleness.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Father Murphy. He was the presider at my wedding and also at my father's funeral Mass at St. Thomas. I will always remember how caring he was at these significant events in my life. He will be deeply missed.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Father Murphy. I remember when all the school children sang Happy Birthday to Father Murphy...He was so happy! He also loved watching the children during their Christmas Pageant. He touch the lives of so many people.

Fr Murphy came through unbelievable snow to see my father at Mt Sinai hospital and he was very generous to me and my family. He was a prince among priests and an exceptional person. I'm very grateful to know him.
