To the Moultry Family:

My heart was so heavy when my mom (Donna Johnson) told me Mrs. Moultry had passed away. I have thought about her often throughout the years and what always used to come to mind were her cakes! Lord... NOBODY could bake like Dot Moultry! But the thing is, it wasn't about her baking skills, it about her thoughtfulness! Mrs. Moultry hardly EVER let a birthday or a holiday pass without letting me, my mom or my sisters know that she remembered, thought and cared about us. It was a gesture that meant the world to me. To this day, the mere thought of her remembering us, warms my heart and continues to be a special memory that I will carry with me forever.

Mrs. Moultry was such a special person; and I know my mom absolutely adored her. While I am so sad that she has left this life, I know that she will live on in all whose life she touched in ways that will last all of us a lifetime. I am so grateful that she touched my life and the life of my family.

Please know that my thoughts and prayers will remain with all of you. My prayer for your family is that you will be able to keep your memories of Mrs. Moultry close to your heart and that those memories will bring you a since of peace during your saddest hours. Peace and blessings to you all.

Mrs. Moultry,

Your passing is such a loss to this world but a wonderful gain for the heavens. You are well loved by my family and we have often spoken of you with the fondest of childhood memories. Our grandma when we had none...all those years as our next door neighbor, babysitter & friend.

It seems that Scott knew something wasn't right because he spoke you up all last week as he teased me about my cakes not being as good as Mrs. Moultry's. He so loved you!! Your Scotty... May you rest in peace and rejoice in your reunion with Fred. We love you!

With heavy hearts,
Kiri Thomson & Family
