KRAWIEC, Frederick M.
Frederick M. Krawiec, 88, of Avon, beloved husband of Ellen M. (Fitzgerald) Krawiec, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (January 30, 2013), at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was born March 1, 1924 to the late Frank and Marianna (Golobek) Krawiec in New Britain. Frederick grew up in New Britain and attended school there. He went on to attend Boston University and the University of Connecticut where he earned his Bachelors Degree. Before his retirement he owned and operated the New Britain Candy Company. He loved to golf and play tennis, but most of all cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 61 years he is survived by his children, Nora Fitzgerald of Avon; Jonelle M. Taylor and her husband Ron Gersten of San Francisco, CA; Daniel Krawiec and his wife Susan Miller of Norwich, VT; Molly Garrity and her husband Scott of New Port Richey, FL; as well as four grandchildren, Jennie M. Mazur of Jacksonville, FL; Nicholas S. Krawiec of Norwich, VT; Savanna M. Mazur of Brooklyn, NY; and Jake T. Mazur of Santa Barbara, CA. Besides his parents Frederick was predeceased by his sisters, Nellie J. Krawiec, Josephine P. Krawiec, Sophie Charubin, and his brothers, Thaddeus and Henry Krawiec.
