Father Ronan Callahan was my first teacher at Holy Apostles College, in 1998. I began attending Holy Apostles after attending SCSU.
Being disappointed at the various themes, I then felt the need to learn enriching Theology studies at this time.
This was the a miraculous time, upon having Father Ronan as my first teacher.
I felt rather awkward, myself and 2 other lay people among Seminarians.
Father Ronan was an absolute saint, he made me feel comfortable and confident, in attending Holy Apostles.
I can honestly, from the bottom of my heart say it was Father Romans influence that made me continue at Holy Apostles, eventually graduating in 2008.
I know Father Ronan is up there with the Saints and Angels, and is living in eternal bliss, with Jesus, Mary and Joseph, and all the love he showed on this Earth has followed him up there, God love ya'- my first teacher, and powerful Saint!!!!

To the Callahan family:
My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise found in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring you some comfort. Knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow attendee and the family at this time. Attendees are recognized on the theory "if it's important to some to mention in an obit, then we can spare a few prayers". Perhaps, the time at MC was both formative and important to our comrade. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
