Sallie Loughery Obituary
Sallie Ann Loughery, 72, of Middletown, wife of the late John J. Loughery, died Friday (January 10, 2014) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Harold and Rita Thayer. Prior to her retirement, she worked for BCY/ Wire Pac as a bookkeeper. Sallie is survived by her sons, David Loughery and his wife Megan of Yardley, PA, Daniel Loughery of Stafford Springs, daughter, Karen Overturf and her husband Kyle of Middlefield and four grandchildren, Michael and Molly Loughery and Ryan and Kathryn Overturf. Graveside services will be held Saturday (Jan. 18th) at 10 a.m. at St Mary Cemetery, Stanley St., New Britain. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver Street, Middletown. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2572 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518.
