I was so saddened to hear about your mom. I have so many great memories of sleeping over, and staying at the cottage. She was one of those mom's you could have fun with and confide in. She was such a wonderful lady. Please know my thoughts and prayers are will you all at this very sad time.

Well over ten years ago I attended a synod assembly in Maine with Jean. We really got to know each other well then and shared our thoughts and feelings about a variety of topics during the course of the assembly. Besides Jean's love for Manhattens, I discovered her love of spicy foods. One night for dinner we both ordered chili which literally reduced us both to tears and laughter! We ate it all and throughout the following years we would reminisce about that.
Actually, anytime I ever served with Jean on a church committee, at council, in planing an event or as part of the "choir family" it was more fun than work. She was such a wonderful and caring person. She made everyone feel special. She will always have a special place in my heart.
