Well over ten years ago I attended a synod assembly in Maine with Jean. We really got to know each other well then and shared our thoughts and feelings about a variety of topics during the course of the assembly. Besides Jean's love for Manhattens, I discovered her love of spicy foods. One night for dinner we both ordered chili which literally reduced us both to tears and laughter! We ate it all and throughout the following years we would reminisce about that.
