Joseph Bailey Obituary

BAILEY, Joseph A. "Cowboy Joe" Joseph A. Bailey "Cowboy Joe", 53, returned home to the Lord after a courageous battle of cancer. He passed away at home peacefully with his family & friends on Sunday (May 10, 2009). He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Tonia Amendola; son, Eric (Luigia) Bailey; grandson, Zack; granddaughter, Olivia; brothers, Scott Bailey of Panama Beach, FL., Geno Bailey of East Hampton, Ronald Bailey of East Hartford; sister's, Patricia Cutting of New Hamphire, and Happy and Bill Corcoran of East Hartford as well as many nieces, and nephews and friends. Joe was a veteran of the Army. His love of horses allowed him to excel riding, spending many enjoyable years as a cowhand, training horses and roping cattle with his loyal and faithful horse "Bo". Joe was talented in many ways and spent his life as a gifted Finish Carpenter. Born and raised in Connecticut, Joe spent many summers in New Hamphire on the Cutting Farm where he developed his great love for animals. Joe always said that Ken taught him everything he knew! Joe was loved by all and was a great inspiration to all whom had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a passionate and talented member of the American Pool Players Association, where he had the honor of attending the National Championship in Las Vegas, IV three times in the seven years. He was preceded by his son Cory and his parents Angle Bailey and Scott A. Bailey and a brother in-law, Ken Cutting. Joe's family and friends will miss our Cowboy Joe, but he is forever with us in our hearts. Memorial will be in New Hampshire at a later date.

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. After suffering so long, perhaps it is of some comfort to know he rests peacefully now. My sympathies to you and his family.

My Prayers go out to Happy amd the Bailey family. I knew Joe in grade school and his family lived down the street from us. We were all friends. The family lived on Elmer St. and our family lived on Tolland St. My sister Maureen was friends with Happy, and her prayers go out to all of you also.
Joe as a kid was great and we did have alot of good times together. He'll be remembered in our thoughts, prayers, and most of all memories. He is in a much better place now. He'll be missed.
