Kenneth ORGANEK Obituary

ORGANEK, Kenneth Michael

Kenneth Michael Organek (Kenny), 38, of the Unionville section of Farmington died September 15, 2011 at his home. He endured numerous challenges and health issues due to a spinal cord injury he sustained in a motor vehicle accident 22 years prior. He was raised in Middletown, the son of Victor Organek of Middletown and Rosemary (DeMilta) Organek of Cromwell. He is also survived by his devoted brother, Victor, his wife Darlene and their children Travis and Cameron of Cypress, Texas, his loving and caring sister, Lynn Misenti, her husband, Jeffrey, and their children Jessica, Dylan and Spencer of Middletown, his aunts, Theresa Acerno of Keene, NH, and Elizabeth DeMilta of Port Orange, Florida and his many cousins from New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire and Florida. Kenny was a graduate of Middletown High School and attended Tunxis Community College. He spent hours on his computer, enjoyed the cooking channel and Sci Fi movies, never missed the chance to give his opinion on world affairs and politics, and had a very special spot in his heart for animals, especially his beloved cat, Zeke. Kenny will especially be missed by his mother who was truly his lifeline. He was very special and dear to those who knew him. He had many devoted friends, a great sense of humor, and he was always very appreciative and never wanted to be a burden to anyone. Special thanks to those who kept him in their prayers all these years and always found the time to ask how he was doing, his physician, Dr. Thomas Jones and staff, and his very special caregivers, Christine French and Sarah Peterson. Kenny was a special person who will be missed by many but never forgotten. He was a good son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. Our Lord has taken him, and we know he is in a better place now.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 355 Main Street, Cromwell. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3Silver St., Middletown, Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Those who wish may send memorial donations to the ASPCA, The National Spinal Cord Injury Association or The First Congregational Church in Cromwell.

Dear Rosemary,
While I never had the chance to meet Kenny, I certainly did have the opportunity to witness your deep commitment to him. During this time of intense grief, I hope you can find some bit of solace in knowing that you did all you could do for him and were always there for him. You were a rich example of a Mother's deep devotion to her son.
