To Joan, Illeana and Hesselberg Family:
My heart weeps with deep sadness and love for one of my best friends in life, Stefan. You have all been so good and kind in allowing me to be a part of Stefan's life while he fought his battle here at Yale-New Haven Hospital, if only for a short time. His love and compassion were endless. He showed love to my children and my husband with a smile and a kind word always. He sang with the voice of an angel.I will never forget his smile and the joy he shared with me and others.Joan and family, my prayers are with you that God's love keeps you strong. Stefan showed courage beyond belief and I will always have a place of love for him and all of you in my heart.

Dear Illeana, Erik, and family-

Laurie, Rob, and I have had many conversations ever since Rob saw Erik at the reunion and Laurie saw Stefan at Todd's service. Doesn't seem to matter that years have passed and our paths have seldom crossed; our thoughts are with you today and always.
