Charlotte E. Unghire

UNGHIRE, Charlotte E. (Woods) Charlotte E. (Woods) Unghire, 71, of Enfield, beloved wife of the late John Unghire, Jr., died on Monday (June 8, 2009). Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Smith) Woods, she was raised in Windsor, moving to Enfield in 1958. She was the former President and CEO of Aerospace Support Inc. in Agawam, MA. She leaves a daughter Charlene and her husband Joseph Mastrolia of Somers, two sons, John F. Unghire, III and his wife Lori, and Christopher N. Unghire and his wife Cheryl all of Enfield, four grandchildren, Sarina Unghire, John Unghire IV, Christopher Unghire, Jr., and Joshua Unghire, two step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Kevin Huss, Samantha and Norman Bechard, four step-great grandchildren, Kaelyn Huss, Kevin Huss Jr., Kyle and Sydney Bechard. Charlotte leaves a brother Charles E. Woods of Enfield, two sisters, Delores "Lorrie" Chagnon of East Windsor and Shirley Woods of East Hartford, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mona Chagnon and Nancy Emond. Funeral services will be on Friday, June 12, 10 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor with Rev. Joseph R. Pulaski officiating. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
