Albert H. White

Albert H. White, a resident of Wethersfield, since 1965 died on March 7th at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford on December 17, 1932 to the late Henry and Mary (Markiewicz) White. He was the loving husband for 62 years of Betty Ann (Lawrence) White. He leaves three sons of whom he was very proud, Jeffrey White and his wife Tammy, Gregory White, and Timothy White Sr. Four greatly loved grandchildren, Timothy White Jr. (TJ), Mary White, Jennifer White, and Gavin White. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ann Strong, Helen Duchesneau, Mary Farquhar and brothers, Henry White and Frank White. He graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1951 where on graduation night he met classmate Betty who became his wife in 1955. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from U of H and an MS in Electrical Engineering from UConn. He was Chief Engineer when he retired from Chandler Evans in 1990 after 35 years of service. He was on the Adjunct faculty at U of H for 14 years (1965 -1978) where he taught evening courses. He worked part time as an Engineering Contractor for 15 years after he retired from Chandler Evans. He was an avid golfer and liked to take long walks and bicycle rides He was a parishioner of St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Ave. Hartford, CT 06114 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 17th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private. No calling hours. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Augustine Church. Maple Hill Chapels/Talarski Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave. W. Hartford has care of arrangements.
