Dear Michelle, Steve and your families,
The very sad news of your mother's passing reached us this afternoon in Honolulu where we'll be until April 8th. We were absolutely stunned, because we had just spoken to Agnes before we left on January 8th. She told us about your being together for Christmas at Michelle's and that Steve had driven her to the doctor's for a check up recently. We covered all the bases, and it was clear that she was enjoying her life at McLean. Though we will miss her very much, it is comforting to know that two of our very best Bates friends are together again. You are in our thoughts from afar, and we are sorry that we can't be with you in person on Wednesday at her service.
Much love and Aloha,
Gladys and Bob Dunn
