I remember he was my next door neighbor on Main street Hartford. He had a candy store in his house where he also sold cookies. He was a really nice caring friendly guy!

It is never too late.
I must share this:
Two nights before Abe passed, God woke me and sent me at 2:30 a.m. to St Francis hospital to pray with Abe which I did and he acknowledged to me that he knew what had just happened. I know that God gave him a chance to cross over.

Mrs. Giles and family: My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I remember Mr. Giles from when I a little girl. I was his grand opening girl with your daughter Evelyn when you opened your grocery store. I also remember going to your store and Mr. Giles gave me treats. He was a good friend to my father and when my father was ill he visited him often and brought him his favorite fruit. All my memories of Mr. Giles were good and he will be missed. To the Giles Family, Sorry to hear of Mr. Giles's passing. He was a very good man, and I'll never forget as a child I would go to my grandmother's house on Nelson Street back in the 60's and she would always send me to the store front right on Nelson and Clark Street! I was heartbroken when I got the news this morning that Abe had passed on. I will never forget Abraham for the kind, sincere and gentle natured man that he was. I'm going to miss him terribly. Whenever he came into our office, no matter how bad my day was going, his smiling face and his "Hi Ducky" greeting to me always lifted my mood and brought a big smile to my face. How I loved that nickname that he gave me! My thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Lord bring you peace and comfort to get through the difficult days ahead. RIP Abe!!
