I grew up on Hilliard Street in the 60s and we all used to hang out at Floyd's market. Gene was a wonderful part of our teenage years. We'd "hang around" Floyd's Market after school. Gene was a wonderful man and I'm sorry to read that he has passed. Deepest sympathy to his family.

I moved to manchester in 1955 from Hartford Ct.also and Gene and i became close friends for many years. All of the neighbour boys would hang out at Floyds market and Gene would share his life experances with us and helped us grow up. We had some fun times and some not so much fun times like the time we desided to clean up a lot next to the store and we landed a tree on the roof and put a hole in the roof, but Gene never got mad He was a great friend He will be sorely missed
