COLANNINO, James R.

James R. Colannino, 35, of Providence, Rhode Island, formerly of Wethersfield, son of Elizabeth "Betty" (Phelon) Colannino of Wethersfield and the late Robert Colannino, passed away suddenly, Monday (June 4, 2012). He was born January 18, 1977 in Hartford and attended local schools. He will always be remembered as a loving son, father, brother and uncle. Jim enjoyed bowling, cooking, watching movies and was an avid New York Yankee fan. He will be dearly missed. Besides his mother, he is survived by his children, whom he loved dearly, Hannah and Dominic Colannino and their mother, Monica Ayotte; his brother, Robert Colannino and wife, Rica of Navarre, Florida; his sister, Lori Kovanda of Rocky Hill and his brother, Alan R. Colannino and his fiancée, Kristen Marchinski of Wethersfield; uncles and aunts, Richard and Judy Phelon, Nancy Tapley and Janet and Robert Aronne, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are Friday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Burial will be private at a later date. Donations in Jimmy's memory may be made to the James Colannino Children's Education Fund, c/o Liberty Bank, 171 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield, CT 06109.
