GRIN, Caron M.
Caron M. Grin, aged 56, of Farmington, passed away on March 30, 2013. Caron was a beloved wife, mother, sister, physician and friend. As years go by, my memories of Carons kindness, compassion and wisdom grow stronger! As near as I can judge, both Michael and Allie have inherited these traits, and I believe that in the other realm where she now resides, she rejoices!

To the Grin and Jorgensen Families,
I only heard of Caron's death yesterday, though I have thought of her often through the years of her illness.
I had the great privilege to get to know Caron over many years as a patient and on some social occasions as well. We came to discover that we were the same age, grew up two towns apart on Long Island and had children the same age. When my daughter went off to college at Connecticut College, Caron asked if she might know the daughter of her close friend, Wendy, from medical school. What seemed a remote possibility proved to be another wild coincidence, Wendy's daughter was actually my daughter's closest friend at school.
Oddly, I came to look forward to going for my annual full body scan to have the chance to see and catch up with Caron. What good fortune to know I was in the best of professional hands with someone so warm, caring and delightful, too.
My heartfelt thoughts are with you all.
Warmly,
Jackie Johnson

Dear Spencer, Milton, Robert, and Jennifer Grin and the entire Grin and Jorgenen Family,
Please accept the Klein and Starky family's deepest, heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beloved daughter, sister, wife, and mother. May her memory be a blessing in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her!
I treasure the moments we spent together, growing up across the street from one another in Rockville Centre. Caron was an inspiring, thoughtful, kind and special person.
Truly, those who we hold most dear really never leave us.
Through the kindness your daughter, sister, wife, and mother showed, the comfort she shared, and the love she brought into our lives, our loved one' spirits continue to imbue our lives with meaning.
And although you and your family as well as all of us will miss her physical presence, the essence of her being can help us live with deeper quality even when her absence is most apparent.
May the memories of your life together and the joyous occasions you shared be a source of comfort and strength!
May God grant you, your family and all those who your daughter, sister, wife, and mother touched the solace of understanding, the peace of acceptance, and the comfort of faith. May God comfort you.
I know that this is a transitional and difficult time in your life and I want you to know that if there is anything I can can do for you, please do not hesitate to ask and call.
Peace,
Michael Klein and all of the Klein and Starky Family

I was a patient of Dr. Grin's and my mother worked with "Dr.G," as my mom liked to call her. As a patient, she was the one and only doctor that helped me get over my debilitating fear of needles. She was patient with me and compassionate; her bedside manner was like no other physician.
My mother would come home from work every day and talk about how much respect she had for Dr.Grin and how much she valued and loved working for her. She is so deeply missed but will be remembered in our hearts and lives.

I am so sorry about Caron's passing away. Many years ago I was a patient of hers briefly as my primary MD felt so highly about her he wanted me to see her only and not any other dermatologist. More recently we were both members of the West Hartford Women's Chorale, before her illness. I will always remember her cheerfulness and skill both in her profession and in singing.

I literally owe Dr. Grin my life. In 1992 she found and excised a malignant melanoma on my thigh and set me on regular monitoring schedule every since which has caught a number of potentail problems over the years. In addition to being a highly competent physician she was also a genuinely lovely human being. I will be forever indebted to her and cherish her memory. May your many fond memories of her and her life comfort you at this time.
