CHORAZYCZEWSKI, Eugene
Eugene Chorazyczewski, 79, of East Hartford, passed away on Wednesday (September 11, 2013). After immigrating to the United States from Poland in the 1950s, he made the better life he dreamed for himself and enjoyed every moment of it. He felt blessed to earn a living working on cars, which were his passion, and did so for more than 20 years. Gene always had a joke, a party trick, and an uproarious laugh, especially when he crooned, "I did it my way!" His surviving family will deeply miss him, including his wife, Emilia Chorazyczewski; and his daughters, Barbara and her husband Kevin Keaveney, and two children, Ashley and Cameron, of Exeter, NH, Irene and her husband, Jason Ashe, and two children, Isabel and Colin, of Bristol, and Dorothy and her husband, Derek Burritt, of Eastham, MA; as well as his brother-in-law, Andrew Miciak, his wife Bozena, and their daughter, Katie.
Family and friends may gather on Monday, September 16, 9:15 a.m. at the South Green Memorial Home/Waszkelewicz Funeral Home, 43 Wethersfield Ave., Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, Hartford. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Gene's family will receive friends on Sunday, September 15, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
