Audrey Brett Obituary



IN LOVING MEMORY Audrey Dobkin Brett (89), died of natural causes, on Sunday, August 30, 2015 in Middletown, R.I. She was born on August 13, 1926 in Ellington, Ct. to Leon and Rebecca Dobkin and was a longtime resident of Manchester. In 1946, she wed Jerome Brett to whom she was married for 49 years until his death in 1996. Audrey was heavily involved in Connecticut politics, serving as a Selectman in Manchester and on the state Ethics Commission during the Lowell Weicker administration. She was very proud of the work she did with the the Anti Defamation League of the B'nai Brith and was deeply loved and respected by all who knew her. She is survived by her sons, Robert Brett of Hollywood, Fla. And Dr. Jon Brett of Portsmouth Rhode Island, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Private funeral services will be held at the Ellington Cemetery. Donations may be made in Audrey's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
