Richard Dowjat Obituary



Richard (Dick) Dowjat, born September 19, 1928 in New Britain, Connecticut was called home by God on December 11, 2015. After serving in the Marine Corps. and graduating from Purdue University with an engineering degree, he married Barbara Ann Smulski. He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University. He leaves his wife Barbara, daughters Pamela Ann LoCascio, Mary Lynn McMillen (John), Barbara Joan Hein, Kathryn Elaine Marienau and Diane Grace Hearn (David), his 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his beloved son, Mark Andrew, father of beloved grandsons Austin Ogden Dowjat and Bradley Andrew Dowjat. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, Dick would hope that you will do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone less fortunate.
