I hope this is not too late, but Dr Yetman was such a force at Hartford High. Many of us still talk about him today, with such fond memories. He was always our guest of honor at the reunions for the class of 1969, and brought students together during those turbulent years.

I remember Dr. Yetman so very well as a young student at HPHS in 1970. He was strong but compassionate and a true leader during the difficult times we faced as teens. I know he was loved by many .. .and will truly be missed as one of those dedicated educators. My thoughts go to his children and grandchildren .. .he was a great man.

My sisters and I (triplets) graduated at HPHS Class of 1969. We experienced turbulent years during that time - (1965 New England Black Out, Malcolm, King, Kennedy, Vietnam, etc). Yet I warmly remember Dr. Yetman's skills in listening and calming our fears as we participated in walkouts and protests. It was my honor to speak with him at our reunion decades later. My sincere condolences to the Yetman Family.

Our condolences go out the the whole of the Yetman family. Duncan was an amazingly gifted man who also held a gentle and caring heart inside. He was an encourager, a man who built others up, not caring about his own stature for that spoke for itself. We knew him through our church home in Trumbull as a godly man, making wise decisions for the school system and for his family. He will be greatly missed by us.

I will always remember Dr. Yetman as a fair but tough principal at Hartford High School. It was a pleasure knowing him so many years ago and it was so nice having him return for our last class reunion accompanied by his daughter. Rest in peace Dr. Yetman. You will be missed.
