Dear Big Brother Bob,

Mom and I sat at your grave yesterday with chairs. We looked up and saw 15 sky divers, soaring in the blue sky. We sat their and smiled thinking of you. You always took care of me has a kid and now I'll take care of our memories. I'll visit you often and you'll always be my hero. Peace and Love. Patty.

BOBO always had a smile on his face and an enthusiasm for all things in life. He was quite possibly the biggest kid I have ever known. We shared many incredible moments together both on the ground and in the air. He was a man with a heart as big as the blue skies where we spent our days. I love and miss him very much and will never forget his smiling face.

Peace Love and Blue Skies Forever

My jumpmaster, my friend, our president. I will never forget all of the laughs, you showing off your new rig, helping me through the AFF, making sure I was engaged with experienced jumpers so I would continue to make this a solid part of my life. We shared same interest in music, saw the world in a similar way, love to laugh all the time. I miss you soooooo much. I really cannot believe you are gone. Nobody is bigger than you Bobo!!! NOBODY! my happiest memories of my uncle bobby were holiday gatherings. i knew that, once dinner had begun, i could look across the table to find boddy gesturing madly, in a way that only he could, relaying a story in his extraordinarily funny manner. i will cherish those memories always, as all of around that will.

we love and miss you bobo.

To Bobo's family,

I want so much to tell you how sorry I am. I am "the student" who was with Bobo on his last jump. He was so intent on keeping me safe that he gave his own life. My family and I will never forget him, his courage, his dedication. I am forever grateful to him and will hold him in my heart as I hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers. I don't feel worthy of the gift of life which he gave to me on May 6th.

If you want to contact me, Billy knows how to reach me. Even if you want to scream at me or curse me, I want you to have that opportunity.

I was at both the wake and the funeral. I was not at the cemetary because I could not bear to watch Bobo's little girl bury her daddy. I am so sorry.

I will see Bobo in every blue sky.

I haven't jumped since his death but, when I do skydive again, every moment in the sky will be in his memory.

I want to express our deepest sympathy to the family but I don't know of anything that deep, certainly not in this world. Thank God that my most enduring memory is of Bobby laughing hysterically. No amount of tears will ever wash that away.

God bless

Since moving to Maine, the thing I missed the most was CPI. This year, Bobo's emails made me feel part of the club again. His ability to make everyone feel welcome and like "family" was unique. His real family was so lucky to have him and I am so sorry for your loss.

It's been over twenty years. You were an integral part of my childhood and adolesence. I watched you from the field at 10 and you jumpmastered me at 16. You always had time and you always had a smile and a story. Your voice was in the air when I dozed in the sun on packing mats. You are embedded in some of the deepest and most profound memories I have. You are part of the cornerstone of skydivers who midwifed me through the wild ride of my adolescence into my confident and successful adult life. My children know your face and stories from the albums of my past. You are blue skies and warm wind and I miss you so very much.

I am not a member of CPI but often hang out at the DZ and met Bobo there. Last October, Bobo, as always, was more than kind and generous when he came out on a Thursday afternoon to do just one tandem because it was a beautiful day and I really wanted to go. He made my first jump an experience I will never forget and I will always cherish the photos I have from that jump.

We will never forget you Bobo or your smiling face, you will be greatly missed.
