A few days ago I thought I saw Rusty standing on a corner. The same hair, stance, glasses and even the same shorts that he would wear to work. It was an uncanny resembalance. I drove ahead a few streets but decided to turn back and look again. By the time I returned-he was gone.

Oddly, Dean Caputo had a similar experience within the same week.

It shows that Rusty had made an impact on all of us and that we still think of him.

Rusty,

It's been a few years and I still think of you when I hear certain songs or see a TV show. Your jokes as well as your good conversation are still sorely missed.

Underneath his somewhat macho exterior, Rusty was such a lovable, caring man. He was one of the funniest people at a party, but you probably wouldn't know it because he didn't want to be the center of attention. With his personality/humor he could of had 10 million friends, but chose to have a smaller, closer group of friends. He loved his family and all children. My kids will remember him singing in the house, playing along with their pranks & being like a second father. He was at all of his childrens events- despite his incredibly busy schedule.

Rusty lived life to the fullest and was blessed with so much, yet he was humble. He was just GREAT to be around. He made everyone around him feel comfortable. These are just a few of the wonderful things we will remember about our dear friend. God Bless him,Beth,Brian,Amy,Katie and Mark!!

Dear Beth and family,

I feel I am indebted to you all for the rest of my life. Rust, I walk alone at night with tears in my eyes for how much I miss you deeply. Only my newborn son Cory's smile can help soothe some of the pain. When I am at sea I know you will be there to look over me and I will hear that wonderful laugh. I lost a friend such a wonderful friend who felt so much more like family to me. May you rest in peace my friend my dear friend. I will miss you deeply.

Love your buddy Pete

Dear Beth & Family

I only found out this evening about Rusty and I am having a hard time to think of things to say that have not alredy been said by so many.

It only seems like yesterday that he graduated from Collage and was doing private labels for my Gym, what a ride we took from there over the many years.

Uncle Rusty,

You toiled so hard for those you loved. You said goodbye to none, Your spirit flew before we knew , Your work on earth was done. We miss you now, our hearts are sore, As time goes by we miss you more. Your loving smile, your gentle face: No one can fill your vacant place. Your life was love and labor. Your love for your family true. You did the best for all of us. We will always remember you....

Love you and miss you.

To my friend Victor,

You were so comfortable to talk to. So at ease. A great sense of humor. Even though our friendship existed through a telephone and Email you have had a profound affect on me and in my life. When I think back now I cannot remember a time when I did not take something positive or feel better after a conversation. It seemed that we spoke more about personal issues than work.

"A good salesperson is one that makes you feel good about your purchase and makes you a fan". You were the best, because you have left many Fans behind.

To Victors Family,

Although I have not met you in person, I feel that I have Known you through Victor. I know that good people attract good people and the fact that Victor became my friend will always give me reason to feel good about myself.

Dear Rubino Family:

So sorry for your loss. I went to school with Tommy and my brother, who passed in 1992, Ross, went to school with Jimmy, he practically lived at our former family home on Old Meadow. I know that this time with family and friends is so helpful and the memories that you hold of Rusty, will live forever in your hearts. I hope to look up Jimmy since I saw he lives in Stuart. To Victor's family, his wife and children, may you have comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Sincerely,

Dear Rubino Family,

I would like to send my condolences to each of you. It is very hard for me to put into words the amount of respect and admiration I had for Victor. He was a Mentor, friend, and "Father" figure to me. I really enjoyed working for him and value everything that he has tought me over the last 10 years. He gave me and my family an excellent opportunity in life and for that I will always be grateful to your family. Although I know in my heart that he is in a better place, he is still deeply missed.

Victor,

I hope you don't mind me saying what is on my mind. I know we just spoke last week, but I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. We have known each other for many years as friends and in business. I hope that you felt the kinship that I felt, you were one of the few people that I could talk to about life and business and vent about both. I will miss your sense of humor, and hope that you will think of me from time to time plugging away here in the trenches. Goodbye my friend.

I want to say to your family that even though I didn't have much contact with Beth over the years, that if there is anything you need please feel free to contact me. Beth, there really aren't any words to express how I feel, please know that you are in my prayers.

Sincerely,

Doc

Dear Rubino Family and Ultimate associates:

I was (and still am) shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of Victor's completely unexpected passing. I've had the extreme pleasure to have had the opportunity to meet Victor in a business setting. But as a tribute to his extraordinary sense of humor and joy for life, I truly felt more like a friend than a business associate. Victor and I had developed a very nice, rapport and sense of playfulness amidst our working relationship that I will miss very much. I can detect by the other comments I've read here that he had that effect on many whom were fortunate as I was to have had a chance to meet Victor.

I'll miss the friendship very much. In a world where so many people stay at arms length, my friendship with Victor was truly a gift. One quality that I will miss very much is that Victor made me feel like I was valuable to him…what more can one person ask of another?

I pray for those who loved him to move through your grieving process, as I am sure Victor would have wanted...with peace!

Thanks for brightening up my life Victor...Take care pal!

Your friend always,

Howard Miller

To the Rubino Family and Friends:

The loss of Victor is devastating. He was a true colleague and friend and a man of great honor and integrity. He was one of the most complex, yet common-sense individuals that I have ever met. His quick wit and keen insight were appreciated by all who knew him. My thoughts and prayers go to his family at this time.

Laureen,

It's been so long since we've seen eachother, although I have thought of you often over the years. How could I ever forget you starting that petition to get me my job back when I got fired. Right in the middle of the Board of Realtors Dinner. You've got guts lady. When I read your sad news in the paper, I had to write. I had to tell you how very sorry I am, and let you know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

With deepest sympathy,
