KAREN B. BLANKENSHIP

KAREN B. BLANKENSHIP, 70, of Wayne, W.Va., died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Minister Roger Perry. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne. She was born June 10, 1946, in Wayne, a daughter of the late Burl and Lucy Dean Blankenship. Karen was a retired school teacher for Wayne County Board of Education where she taught at East Lynn School for most of those years. She was also a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church as well as a member of 4-H. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Evelyn Tony (Don) and Jacqueline "Hilda" Waggoner (Les); and a brother, Larry N. Blankenship. Survivors include two sisters, Elenor B. Fry and husband Andrew J. IV of East Lynn, W.Va., Sally B. Moore and husband Sherman of Paplin, Va.; a sister-in-law Dottie Blankenship of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved like her own. The family would like to thank the staff of Grayson Assisted Living and Cabell Huntington Hospital for the care and support shown to Karen and her family. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne.
