BARBARA BLANKENSHIP Obituary





BARBARA ELLEN BLANKENSHIP, 60, of Barboursville, passed away Saturday April 23, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. James Wells. Burial will be in Docks Creek Cemetery. She was born September 25, 1955, in Huntington, a daughter of the late Forrest and Margaret Watkins Johnson. She was preceded in death by her son, Trent Allen Blankenship and two brothers, Gene and David Johnson. Ellen is survived by her daughter, Maggie Blankenship of Branchland; one son, Terry Blankenship of Barboursville; three sisters, Margaret Holland, Nancy Johnson and Sarah Zirkle, all of Huntington; one brother, Benny Johnson of Huntington; two grandchildren, Blayne and Brenden Blankenship and one great-granddaughter, Aubriana Blankenship. The family would like to express our appreciation to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Cabell Huntington Hospital ICU for the loving care they showed not only for her but the family as well. Again, thank you all. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
