Theodore Jackson Obituary

DECATUR - Theodore "Ted" Jackson, 80, of Washington, MO formerly of Decatur, passed away on Friday, June, 10, 2011 in his home. Ted was born on January 9, 1931 in Oakley, IL the son of Harold and Lavonne "Babe" (Wrighthouse) Jackson. He was a boilermaker for A.E. Staley Company retiring after 37 years. He also remodeled homes. He was an avid Cardinal fan. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Ted married Margaret Perkins on April 18, 1954 in Decatur. Surviving are Margaret his loving wife of 57 years; son, Jeff Jackson and wife Suzanne of Washington; sister, Sandy Schuerman of Decatur; aunt, Joan Crowe of Englewood, CO; grandchildren, Jeremy Jackson and Jacy Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service for Ted will be 1:00 pm Tuesday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service from 12 noon – 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in the North Fork Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army.
