Carol Strode Obituary

DECATUR - Carol J. Strode, 65, of Ben Franklin, Texas, passed away Sunday (June 5, 2011). Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in First Assembly of God Church, Cooper, Texas. Carol was born Sept. 25, 1945, in Ferndale, Mich., the daughter of Euralee and Beulah DeLong Ferguson. She graduated from Lakeview High School. She was a homemaker. She married Charles Strode on June 2, 1963. He preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Brian Strode, Tammy Strode, Brenda Strode and Timmy Strode; sisters, Patsy Hart, Margaret (James) Strode and Brenda (Allen) Smith; brothers, Jerry (Carol) Ferguson, Jimmy (Vicki) Ferguson and Euralee "Joe" Ferguson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Brian, Tammy, Brenda, Timmy.. We are so sorry for your loss. Your mother was Mama to lots of people. I know your parents took all my crazy family in as there own and ya'll know it takes a special kind to love all us! Have lots of great memories! Mama Carol was a beautiful,loving,strong willed,amazing lady and man could she cook. If you left her home 'HUNGRY' that was your own fault because she always fixed enough for an army. Bryan,Tammy,Brenda,Timmy, we are so sorry for your loss. As said in others she was a beautiful amazing mama,wife,grandmother,friend.. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all! She was amazing to all and eveything she did.. If you were at here house and left HUNGRY that was your own fault! This mama sure could cook! Love her and dad with all my heart! Ya'll are family and it takes a special kind to understand our families but we fit together like a puzzle! So many great memories of all of ya! Love you all take care of each other cuz that's whet mama would expect Believe that. She's always gonna be watching she never missed anything when it come to her koids and will not change now! Carol was everybodys Mama, we all loved her and she took everyone in like they were family. She will be missed! Brian, Tammy, Brenda and Timmy, you know heaven got another angel, she's up there w/ Charlie smilin' down on all of us! Love and miss you guys so much!
