Lucinda Miller Obituary

MATTOON - Lucinda "Cindy" Miller, 88 of Mattoon, IL formerly of Lincoln, IL passed away at 8:10 A.M. on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Palm Terrace in Mattoon, IL. A private memorial services will be held at a later date. Cindy was born on June 29, 1922 in Hardin County, KY. She was a daughter of James William and Beulah Aileen (Woosley) Salmon. She married Raymond Clarence Miller in Atwood, IL. He passed away in 1983. She is survived by in son, Charles Miller and his wife Dora of Mattoon, IL; one daughter, Gladys, McCool of Forsyth, IL; five grandchildren, Dale Miller and his wife Shelly of Lincoln, IL, Heather Combs and her Husband Kyle of Atlanta, IL, Heidi Demertzis and her husband Tolis of Wake Forest, NC, Matthew McCool and Ryan McCool; two sisters, Dorothy Geary and Shella White both of Lincoln, IL and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Lloyd and Oneal Salmon. Cindy enjoyed a life long career as a registered nurse. I have lots of fond memories of Aunt Cindy. (She used to tell me how Pop (Lloyd) would blow over her cutout paper dolls and mess them up.) Always enjoyed the family get-togethers at her house. May you rest in peace, Aunt Cindy.
