Nancy Kerfoot Obituary

NORMAL - Nancy Burks Kerfoot, 84 of Normal, died at 9:42 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. Her visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday May 10, 2011 at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington Illinois. Graveside services will be Friday morning May 13, 2011 at 10:00am in Evergreen Burial Park, Roanoke, Virginia. Friends are welcome to attend. Memorials may be made to Bloomington Parks and Recreation. The family wants to thank the Bloomington Parks and Recreation for its seniors programs. Nancy was born October 28, 1926 in Roanoke, Virginia, the daughter of Robert P. and Della Hayden Burks Sr. She married M.R. "Randy" Kerfoot. Surviving are two sons, Timothy M. (Gloria) Kerfoot of Normal and Dennis R.(Trish) Kerfoot of Mt. Zion, IL; four grandchildren, Jennifer (fiancé Tim Lancaster) Kerfoot, Nicole Kerfoot, Benjamin R. Kerfoot and Michael P. Kerfoot; two great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Kerfoot and Kinley Lancaster; a sister-in-law, Margaret Funk Burks; two nephews, Robert E. (Jean) Burks and William R. (Sue) Burks; and three nieces, Jean (Charles) Rife, Peggy Jo (Steve) Samuel and Mary Jane (Jerry) Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; one brother, Robert P. Burks Jr.; and her former husband. She retired from United Methodist Ministers Credit Union in Bloomington, IL. in 1992. Nancy loved to travel with Bloomington Parks and Recreation and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Obituary written by family members.
