Bob (AKA 'Rapid Robert') was liked by all who worked with him. He was one of the fastest in casing mail that I ever worked with. Fun loving with a terrific sense of humor. I'm 96 now, but only good memories of him remain.

To Bob's family,
I will miss Bob, he was one of my heroes. I worked with him on the Pitts & St Lou mail trains and he didn't come by the nickname 'Rapid Robert' by accident. He was about the fastest and most knowledgable letter sorter on the 'road'. So glad I got to see him at the T. Haute reunion. My sincere sympathys are with the family.
An old friend, Fred Olds, Sidney, IL
