Sandra Miles Obituary

DECATUR - Sandra Dee "Mardis" Miles, 49 of Decatur died at 2:32 p.m. Thursday (May 12, 2011) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 18th at Macon County Memorial Park with Rev. Ricky Berg officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at New Beginnings Church of God 2606 Rt. 121 NW Decatur, IL. Precious Memories White Dove Release will conclude the ceremony. Motorcycle riders are encouraged to meet at Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care to follow the "Remembering the Ride" motorcycle hearse to the cemetery. Kick stands up at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Memorials are requested to the family C/O Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care 3085 N. Kandy Lane Decatur, IL. 62526. Sandra was born June 23, 1961 in Decatur daughter of Jimmy D. and Edna M. Pickering Mardis. She was a member of New Beginnings Church. She was Co-Owner of Precious Memories White Dove Release. She worked for Parks Leghorn Eggs until they closed and then worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Decatur Electronics until they moved away from Decatur. Sandra married Columbus O. Miles June 30, 1979, he survives. She is also survived by her daughter Jamie (Josh) Henry, son, Scott Miles, five grandchildren, parents, Jimmy D. and Edna M. Mardis, brother, Jimmy D. (Becky) Mardis all of Decatur. Sandra D. was a great wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister and she will be deeply missed. Obituary written by family members. To All of the Mardis/Miles Family.. Sandy will be sadly missed. I went to school with Sandy & she stayed all night with me many times. We had such good times staying up giggling & just talking.
