Sarah Goenne Obituary

DECATUR - Sarah Goenne, 61, longtime resident of Chicago, passed away April 13, 2011. She was born in Davenport, IA, October 30, 1949 to the late Norman and Doris French Goenne. She is survived by her brother John and sister Martha (Scott) Bante, and two nephews, Graham Goenne and Max Bante. She graduated from Elmhurst College and was retired from National Louis University. Memorial service will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Fourth Presbyterian Church, corner of N. Michigan Ave. and Delaware Place, Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Old Town School of Folk Music (www.oldtownschool.org), 4533 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL 60625, National Louis University (www.nl.edu), or Fourth Presbyterian Church (www.fourthchurch.org). The family wishes to thank everyone for their support and prayers during this difficult time with special thanks to the Chicago Police Marine Unit and Northwestern Memorial Medical ICU 9th Floor staff.
