To Kathleen and all Steve's family members,

So terribly sorry to hear about Steve, although I realize he's in a much more peaceful place now. I have never met any of you, but I remember Steve talking about you through the years. We met in Oct. of 2002 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and he helped me keep my sanity during that ordeal. We have kept in touch off and on since then checking on each other. He was a great DJ and had the most wonderful quirky sense of humor. He was thoughtful and generous and was a great cook. He made me a delicious home cooked dinner when I was visiting him. He introduced me to his father, Barney who was quite a character as well. I'll never forget him and may he rest in peace.

Jill, I never spoke with your dad, but I heard your love for him in your voice when you talked about him. He must have felt so blessed to have you as a daughter, and I'll bet much of what is best in you comes from him. My thoughts are with you.

Jill,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my dad years ago, and the ache is always there. I feel your pain, and wish there was something magical I could say to ease it. Know he loved you, and knew how much you loved him. Remember all the special and fun times you've had.
He must have been a special man, he raised a wonderful, caring daughter.
May he rest in peace.
You, and your whole family have my deepest sympathies, and will be in my thoughts.
Much love to you all,
Alma

Funny man . . . you've left me with a hole in my heart and well-lubricated tear ducts. I know that you're out there somewhere pain free and doing a happy dance with your dad and grandpa. You were a treasure and I really miss you. May you now be at peace sans pain. Until we meet again --happy trails to you. xxoo
