Leslie Todd Obituary

Leslie (Les) Todd, 76, passed away while surrounded by his family on February 11, 2013. Born to Dr. Joseph Glassman and Anne Glassman, he grew up in Brooklyn and Great Neck, New York and attended Stuyvesant High School. He loved his four years at the University of Pennsylvania and then Harvard Law School where he brought renowned speakers including Eleanor Roosevelt to the Harvard Forum. Before practicing law, he switched gears to spend a summer in the Merchant Marine and enlisted in the National Guard. His many years of practicing law and his time as a municipal judge brought him great satisfaction. Leslie savored the relaxation and time for thought as a long distance walker. Friends would delight in seeing him walking through the neighborhoods from Deering Estate to Coconut Grove and beyond. Of all of Leslie's accomplishments, he was most proud of his 48-year marriage to Merrily. He was the loving father of Joe (Jamibeth), Stacy (Jason), Kara (Kevin), and Briana (Jeff) and the adoring grandfather of seven grandchildren. Leslie's sister, Natalie, predeceased him. Leslie was a kind, loving, and caring person. His family will cherish their memories of him. His wit, intellect, and wisdom will never be forgotten. The family wishes to thank the many physicians who cared for Leslie throughout his courageous and determined battle. Should you desire to make a donation in the memory of Leslie, the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice.
