STEVEN MATZA Obituary

MATZA, STEVEN HOWARD, 63, of Dallas, TX, passed away Friday, February 18, 2011. He was born July 3, 1947 in Miami Beach, Florida, to Jack and Eleanor Matza. After a tour of duty in Vietnam and completing his degrees, he moved to Dallas, TX, in the 1970's where he began a career at Merrill Lynch. He established successful retirement planning and insurance businesses before beginning the Business Booster, a dental industry consulting practice. Steven was an avid golfer. He enjoyed racket ball and chess. He was a devoted father and is survived by his son, Michael Matza. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Sunday, February, 27, 2011, in the Sudie George Chapel of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Steven Matza to The Stewpot, 408 Park Ave., Dallas, TX 75201 or Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy., Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Steven had such a great sense of humor and intellect beyond explanation. When he decided to do something he gave it is "all". He cared deeply and was a good friend. He was a devoted an awesome Dad. He will be missed.
