DEAR NICK,
BOBBIE, EDDIE AND SUSAN,
WE WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR CONDOLENCES AT THIS TIME TO THE FAMILY.
VICKY AND I WERE SADDENED TO HEAR OF THE PASSING OF BETTY. WE MET BETTY AND NICK AT THEIR HOME ON NEW YEAR'S EVE 1974 AND BECAME FRIENDS OF THE FAMILY. WE SPENT MANY HAPPY HOURS IN BUTTONWOOD BAY OVER THE YEARS AND ALWAYS KIDDED NICK ABOUT THE 38 FOOTER. (BOAT). WE HAD MANY GREAT TIMES AND SHARED MANY HAPPY EXPERIENCES WITH THE FAMILY.
I TALKED TO NICK JUST BEFORE WE LEFT ON OUR TRIP AT THE BIGINNING OF MAY.
WE SHARED MANY HAPPY TIMES TOGETHER.

We are greatly saddened by the loss of Aunt Betty. We have so many great memories over the years. Me, for a lifetime. Leslie and Joelle for a shorter period of time, but no less important.
I fondly remember the stories that Leslie and Joelle would come home with from their after school ice cream at Whip 'n Dip with Aunt Betty and Amber. I learned things that I never knew about the Shulman family and how we all got here.
We will miss her greatly!

Our sincerest condolences on Betty's passing. I have known the Polanco's since I met Eddy at UM in 1971 and Betty and Nick were generous welcoming me into their home, their lives, and as a summer employee at their company. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.

I have read with sadness about your mother's passing. Please accept my best wishes, and condolences. Shortly after my mother Carmen Maria Mendez arrived from Cuba via Spain she had the good fortune to meet your parents, and she became your nanny. The years she shared with you were wonderful years. Betty's kindness and support were gratefully noted by mother, long after she moved to Michigan to live with me. My mom passed away in September of 1994.
