BENNETT, JENNIFER LYNN, of Miami Dade county passed away on June 9, 2016. Born in Miami, Florida on November 29, 1988. An alumni of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where Jennifer was a member of the water polo team. She was a Girl Scout for 13 years and also an active volunteer with the Humane Society where she developed a love for animals. She began her career as a legal assistant in Florida. She found joy in music, attending baseball games, going to the movies and being in the company of her family and friends. She had a carefree personality and was loved by everybody who came in contact with her. She is pre deceased by her parents, Lawrence Bennett, Jr. and Susan Bennett. She is survived by her maternal grandmother, Florence Bookman and her maternal aunts, Linda Bookman and Pat Austin (Guy Austin). She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Barbara De La Cruz, her paternal uncle, Howard Bennett (Emma Bennett) and her paternal aunt, Kathy Kincer (Larry Kincer). Visitation will be Saturday July 9th, 2016 from 2:00pm-5:00pm and service to follow from 5:00pm-6:00pm at Gregg L. Mason Funeral Home located at 10936 Northeast 6 Avenue, Miami Shores, FL 33161. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Jennifer's name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the fight against Breast Cancer at www.komen.org or toll free at 1-877-465-6636.

I worked with Jenn at the Vi in Aventura and it was so great reconnecting with her then because I already knew her through my daughter Jess from their high school and she used to come over . When I heard what was going on I was so heartbroken because she had worked so hard and had been through so much. May God bless her and may she be with her parents in peace up above.

I certainly didn't know Jen as well as I could have/should have, but being with her step-uncle the past 19 years, I loved her zest for life and her somewhat irreverent humor. She certainly could bring a room "to life." We will definitely miss her. RIP Jen.
