Geraldine Billups Obituary
She is survived by three sons, D.E. Billups of Van Alstyne, Jerry Billups and wife Linda of Tyler, Bob Billups and wife Debbie of Midland; seven grandchildren, Wendy Norris and husband Tom of Van Alstyne, Robb Billups and wife Kelly of Dallas, Neal Billups and wife Nicolette of Tyler, Brooke Fontan and husband Joe of Leesburg Va., Jared Billups and wife Krystal of Irving, Brandon Billups and wife Bridgette of Pearland, and Ryan Billups of Commerce.
Geraldine was born Jan. 23, 1918 to Virgil and Vera Mae Flesher in Van Alstyne. She married D.E. Billups Aug. 13, 1938 in Sherman. She graduated High School in Van Alstyne, and attended North Texas Teachers College where she received her Masters degree. She taught school for 44 years with 38 years in Van Alstyne. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Alstyne.
She was preceded in death by her husband D.E. Billups Sr., parents Virgil and Vera Mae Flesher, Sister Lyla Klinge, and grandsons Greg Billups and Tim Billups.
