Was just thinking of dad, and how God works in His ways that we don't always understand. The health of a loved one is again in my prayers, and I wish dad was around to talk to. I just need to trust in God's plan.

It's been two months, and I think of dad often. I close my eyes and I see him, I miss him. His passing has re-awakened my love and faith in God, and I am grateful he did not suffer in the end. Our family is closer than we have been, and mom is in all of our thoughts and prayers.

My grandpa was more than just my grandpa, he was like my dad. He taught me everything I'd ever need to know, from catching a fish and driving a boat, helping me learn to drive, helping me with my homework and even making fun of my teachers names to make me feel better when it was tough and most importantly how to be the best person I can be no matter what. He was an outstanding man and I will never stop missing him. I know heaven got 5 times better when he arrived. Love you Grandpa.

My dad was a great man and a wonderful father. As a somewhat "challenged" child, I remember my dad always being there for me, keeping me on the straight and narrow--if it wasn't for his love and devotion, who knows where I might have ended up. He instilled in me great family values. I will do everything I can to use those values in raising my own kids. He taught me that family always comes first, no matter what. I love my dad for teaching me those values. I will miss him always. Thanks, Dad.

All these wonderful things people have said about him make my heart so warm. My Grandpa, was such an amazing man. I can only hope, my boys, his Great Grand children will be as he was. I will cherish the memories I have of him in my heart always, but will always wish there were more. I admire him, his values, the love for his family and his strength. I enjoyed my conversations with him, right up until the end. He always could make you laugh. I'll never forget 'Swamp People' with my Grandpa. I love you Grandpa. Thank you for being such an amazing part of our lives.

"I promissed him I wouldn't cry when it was his time to leave. That's the only promise I made him I couldn't keep. He smiled from his bed and said we'll meet again. Somewhere down the road. And I believe 'cause Grandpa told me so"

I feel blessed to have had him as one of my parents. My Dad will always be special not only in my heart, but in many hearts that he touched in his lifetime. His gift of loving me as one of his own children was really my gift of knowing him. Truly a kind, thoughtful, more wonderful man you rarely know in your lifetime. His presence I will truly miss, but I know his love will live on in all of us. Love & God Bless, Rian & Greg and family

My Grandpa was someone who meant alot to me. His greatest asset was the ability to fight and never give up. I Loved my Grandpa i will never forget you. He was someone who would always put family first, he was a great man if not the best. If i grew up to be half the man my grandpa was i would be one heck of a man. He was an inspiration to me, to never quit and to live everyday like its your last. You fought for 5 incredible years. I love you grandpa. Best Grandpa ever!

I really enjoyed visits when Chuck and I sat together and talked about the past, and present ... just the two of us. He really got a kick out of teasing me! He made me laugh. Those memories will be with me forever. The comfort and support of family and friends, and the comfort of knowing he is watching over us, will get us through our loss and having to say good bye. In loving memory.

My Grandpa, means more to me then any man in the world. As a child I looked up to him more as a father figure. All my childhood memories involve my family. All the holidays we spent together and The presence of my Grandpa. I only wish as an adult I would of been around, so my children would of known what a great man my Grandpa was. He will always be remembered. I love you Grandpa.

Dear Father in Law, you will always be forever admired for the honorable father and husband and grandfather you were. Your family always came first. I am so grateful that your grandson Luke Penney, sister Stephanie Penney and I were able to spend time with you and Suzi before you so peacefully departed. What a fisherman you were, I was lucky to be out on the boat with you and Chuck a few times to really experience your true sense of humor. Those times will never be forgotten. As well the little boat we bought from you to enjoy and pass down to Luke. May you rest in peace good man, and know this, we will all see you again on the other side.
Love, Hugs, and prayers go out to this loving family that I've had the privelage of being a part of for 19 years.

Dad was truly one of a kind, and I will think of him often. It was a blessing that so many were able to be there at the end to say good bye. He was surrounded in love, which was fitting for a man who lived a loving life. I am proud to be his son, and look forward to seeing him again in Heaven through Christ.
